We install the Rako lighting control system in many of our projects, large and small. Rako is a fantastically adaptable system and incorporates some clever technology. It can be used in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, home theatres, halls, landings ... and even for garden lighting.
The key benefit of this system is that it is designed for ease of installation without the need for complete re-wiring.
The system uses coded FM radio, so control wiring is not required and push-button controls can be mounted anywhere.
The icing on the cake is that Rako easily (with some expertise) interfaces with audio visual systems such as

The dimmers can be mounted either in the ceiling or "in-line" with the power to your lamps or other lights. ("in-line" means for example that an electric lead from your lamp to your plug would be cut and the dimmer wired in to join the cable up again).
