Project brief: To install a Multi-room AV system with integrated lighting control Location: Shootash in Hampshire Client: A developer specialising in bespoke properties.
Background Renovated to the highest standard, and with a sympathetic extension, this property boasts some fantastic features, not the least of which is the outstanding technology solution.
The developer was keen that this property be a strong mixture of period elegance with 21st century technology and Ugot was approached to design a system that would enhance the property and increase its already excellent appeal.
Key requirements were audio and video in all main rooms of the property with the added luxury of remote control lighting to the ground floor.
The Solution: Opus 500 Multi-room AV was chosen as the multi-room solution due to its excellent feature/cost ratio. WCU600 touch-screens were installed in the key rooms to the ground floor with video to each one. Both audio and video were provided to the family area, the lounge and the study. The kitchen enjoys its own control of audio via a WCU300. A WCU500 was installed in the master bedroom with audio and video available and a WCU300 allowed audio as a sub-zone in the en-suite.
Rako was chosen for the lighting: 11 circuits on the ground floor with four scenes for each room. RAK4 central dimmers provide RF lighting control from a central source. The lighting control is incorporated into the WCU600 touch screens as well as through separate Rako wall switches.
A 42" plasma screen is installed in the family area and a 40" plasma in the lounge with provision for a 5.1 surround sound solution when the property is sold.
A full user pack was provided for the new owners with upgrade path and useful information included.
