Trading terms & conditions
Introduction Our Terms and Conditions comply with UK legislation, including the Distance Selling Regulations and are designed to ensure that all our customers can shop easily and with confidence with Ugot Ltd.
Standard delivery Is for mainland UK only. Delivery costs to Ireland are available on request. Special order items may incur other delivery charges due to size and/or weight. Please confirm these costs when discussing your requirements. Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. All products are fully guaranteed against defects on a replacement or refund basis depending on the problem and age of the item. All products carry a minimum 12 months manufacturers warranty.
Availability of Goods While all care is taken to ensure appropriate stock levels, all products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice. If your item is not in stock, we will back-order it for you. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. If we do not supply the goods for any reason you will be notified, and if we have taken payment it will be refunded in full.
Credit & Debit card payment When paying by credit or debit card, if you request delivery to an address other than that to which the card is registered we reserve the right to contact you in order to carry out further security checks and your order may be delayed as a result. We take attempted fraud very seriously and all attempts to obtain goods by deception will be reported to the authorities and pursued.
Faulty Goods and Guarantees All warranties offered are as per the manufacturer warranty (normally 12 months or more from date of purchase). In the event of goods becoming faulty please contact us for support and where necessary replacement of the faulty item.
Cancelling your Order or Returning your Goods. In accordance with UK legislation, if you are a consumer (not a business, sole trader or organisation), and you purchase your goods through our website www.ugot.co.uk or via the telephone you have the right to cancel your order with us as described by The Distance Selling Regulations 2000. The period in which you can exercise that right is 7 working days from the date of delivery. Please note the Distance Selling Regulation do not apply to a business or organization. Any items that have been ordered specifically for you, or that are manufactured for you as “special order items” as part of your order cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty.
If you do wish to return any items under the 7 working day rule then please email sales@ugot.co.uk or call 023 8025 3399 to obtain an authorisation number (RMA). The goods must be returned at your cost and in original condition within 7 days of receipt of our Authorisation Number (RMA). Please note that if goods are returned without their original packaging or are incomplete or in any way not in full resaleable condition, then no refund will be made and the goods will be returned to you. Any items returned to us will be inspected prior to replacement or refund and we reserve the right to deem the goods second-hand and make you an appropriate offer should any items not be returned in their entirety and as new including all packaging, documentation or other which is normally included with the items when new. Proof of purchase must be provided and a valid authorisation number (RMA) must be clearly visible on the outside of the packaging. We regret that we cannot accept goods returned without an RMA number.
Late Delivery, Part or Missing Deliveries and Damages. We may part-dispatch your order. It is your responsibility to check your consignment and if any incorrect goods are supplied you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. After this period mistakes cannot be rectified. In the unlikely event your order is damaged in transit please e-mail sales@ugot.co.uk within 24 hours of receipt. Please retain the original packaging for returning your order. We will arrange for collection and a prompt replacement. When we deliver to an address at your request, you are agreeing that anyone resident at the address has your written authority to accept goods on your behalf. We will accept no responsibility for goods once they have been delivered and signed for at the requested address. We are not responsible for lateness of delivery including lateness of delivery resulting from the following scenarios: payment processing issues, adverse weather conditions, inaccurate address / e-mail information or industrial action by the courier companies. Pricing Errors / Technical Accuracy All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturer's publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. Ugot Ltd make reasonable endeavours to ensure that this information is as up-to-date as possible. Ugot Ltd cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within our website and accepts no liability for any actions taken by the user of the website as a result of any information contained therein. Images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites. All accessories supplied with a product are subject to upgrade or change at the manufacturers discretion.
We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions. You are deemed to accept the Conditions when you place an order for goods with us. Our contract with you only begins when we have validated payment and have despatched the goods. Any communication which you receive from us prior to despatch is not to be deemed as acceptance of your order. In the event of any pricing error occurring within a written or verbal quotation, or contained within any fax or e-mail correspondence however received, all these orders shall be deemed void. In these circumstances, you receive a full refund. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the price as necessary in order to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices. If due to an error or omission the price published for the goods on our website is wrong we have the right to terminate an order. Should such an error occur we would inform you of the revised price and give you an opportunity to cancel the order. Transfer of Title and Limitation of Liability The title of goods will not pass from Ugot Ltd. until payment has been received in full. In the event of product failure we are not responsible for any loss that may occur or any loss in productivity nor are we responsible for any incidental loss. The above terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
